SkyWater is searching for an Accountant 1 for our SkyFed team at our site in Bloomington, MN!
This individual is responsible for a wide range of accounting activities which consists of general ledger entries, balance sheet flux analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, assistance with outsourced payroll, analysis of payroll spend, month-end close and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Finance Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for accounts payables (AP) invoice processing on 2 and 3-way match purchases in our ERP system Unanet.
Responsible for accounts receivables (AR) invoice processing and submission to the customer.
Compile and monitor AP/AR Aging Report.
Forecasting of weekly payment registers.
Work with Procurement and vendors to resolve invoice/purchase order discrepancies.
Prepare journal entries and accruals for assigned accounts.
Responsible for monitoring and assisting with the bi-weekly outsourced payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
Analyze and monitor labor dollars for various internal stakeholders.
Assist in completing balance sheet reconciliations and variances analysis to identify/research/resolve unusual balances.
Assist in annual external audit.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
0 to 2 years of accounting experience.
Understanding of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ability to work with all levels of management and operational groups.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of the functionality of Microsoft Excel.
US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or similar concentration.
Familiar with Unanet ERP system.
Experience with Government Contracting compliance requirements and regulations.
