Skyway Precision, Inc., a leader in the precision machining industry, is a seeking a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team! The Quality Engineer supports manufacturing through the application of quality engineering principles. This role will manage multiple tasks throughout product launch and manufacturing processes in addition to ensuring all Skyway Precision, Inc. products meet company and customer quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Initiate corrective actions for systemic corrections.
Interface with customers as needed.
Ensures Quality Alerts are completed and communicated.
Responsible for Plex workflow actions assigned.
Prepare appropriate documentation for customer PPAP's and maintain Customer Portals for submissions.
Maintain Customer score cards, quality ratings, delivery ratings, and communicate trends to management.
Participate in Layered Process Audits.
Develop process for systemic preventative measures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Understand and read Blueprints and GD&T Codes.
Ability to perform measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges and other hand-held measuring devices.
5 or more years' experience in the Quality field.
5 or more years' experience in a Quality Engineer role within the manufacturing sector.
Bachelor's degree in related field or relevant work experience.
