What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receiving Inspector position at Skyway Precision Inc.?
Skyway Precision is currently seeking an experience Receiving Inspector to join our team!
This role will manage the receiving inspection of products as required in compliance with IATF, Customer Specifics and ISO standards and ensure that all products and provided to our manufacturing processes meet or exceed the required specifications.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
- Inspection and validation of material and / or product certifications and data
- Support the Supplier Quality Engineer as needed.
- Maintain documentation per Skyway retention policies.
- Assist and support supplier NCR’s and corrective action requests.
- Communication and interface with suppliers supporting the Supplier Quality Engineer
- Perform inspection on incoming and outgoing materials and services.
- Perform inspections using measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape, etc.)
- Document and intelligently communicate inspection findings and document on reports.
Education/Work Experience Required:
- Ability to read and understand specifications of products processes.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T
- Effective communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and a result-driven approach
- Excellent organizational abilities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in receiving inspection.
- Strong work ethic
- Dependable
- Ability to write routine reports and communications.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and accurate reporting
