Description
SkyWheel Panama City Beach is seeking a dependable, team-oriented individual with high energy and a passion for delivering excellent guest service. The Maintenance Technician at SkyWheel Panama City Beach is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on the ride attractions and property venue. The Maintenance Technician will perform work in any one of the following maintenance areas: carpentry, plumbing, painting, tile and electrical. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing ride maintenance, repairs and safety inspections.

Duties and responsibilities
Includes, but not limited to:
- Perform ride maintenance and inspections per the manufacturer requirements and the ASTM F-24 Standards.
- Document and communicate such inspections daily to the SkyWheel Operator on duty to ensure safe operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and practices per the manufacturer and SkyWheel operation standards.
- Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance on equipment both mechanically and electrically to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain daily reports such as inspections, replacement parts, and work completed.
- Attend and contribute to all safety meetings.
- Operate and maintain various power and hand tools.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications include but are not limited to:
- Must have an outgoing attitude and personally have the ability to exhibit great guest service.
- Proven attention to detail and follow-through with excellent organizational skills for keeping detailed records, reports, and logs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Proficiency in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, and light electrical work.
- Must be organized, responsible and able to prioritize tasks.
- Must be able to comprehend general mechanical principles and technical manuals.
- Must be able to trouble shoot technical problems.
- Must be able to work efficiently with and without close supervision.
- Must have basic understanding of computers.
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders for the purpose of inspection and repair and work at heights 100 feet above the ground.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds without difficulty, stand for long periods of time and work in a variety of conditions including heat, cold and rain.
- Ability to work full- time and be available to work unscheduled hours to respond to unplanned and/or emergency work, including nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable pre-employment drug screen and background check.
