Skyworks is looking for a Principal Module Design Engineer to join the highly successful and energetic Mobile Solution Business team in Irvine, CA! As a Module Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of highly integrated cellular front-end Tx / Rx modules incorporating active and passive devices leading to high volume production ramp for mobile markets. You will have opportunities to participate in all phases of product development, including product definition, architecture, system, MCM design, layout, lab debug, and production support. Job Requirements

• BS and 12 years or MS and 8 years or PhD and 5 years of work experience in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with design simulation tools or equivalent - Agilent ADS, HFSS, APD, Cadence, Orcad
• Solid understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth, and stability
• Knowledge of RF Design Architecture - Experience and familiarity with wireless transceiver architectures, system requirements, standards, receiver and transmitter chain sub-blocks (e.g., LNAs, Switches, or Power Amplifiers)
• Knowledge of test parameters and test equipment - Experience and familiarity with testing, evaluation, and debugging RF, analog, and mixed-signal module designs in a lab environment. Should be proficient in the use of network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, and oscilloscope
• Relevant experience in PA, RF switches design or multi-chip module (MCM) design including filter and matching networks to support fully integrated front end module designs
• A self-starter and team player with a strong desire to learn on the job
• Strong desire and commitment to take product from concept to volume production
• Good communication skills both verbal and written

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $126,500 - $241,700 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
