The supply chain intern will work closely with the supply chain planning team on various projects involved in improving the team's core business. This person will be exposed to full-cycle supply chain planning, will learn to identify risks to a high-volume supply chain plan, and ultimately methods for mitigating that risk. This person will learn best practices and leadership skills in a global environment.The candidate will work with a mentor and the job responsibilities will include:
- Works on continuous improvement projects involved in the supply chain team's core business processes.
- Analyzes data to identify risk to continuous supply plan and ability to meet required schedules. Follows up with necessary teams (sourcing, manufacturing sites, warehouse, logistics, etc.) to ensure appropriate scheduling of raw materials to targeted subassembly and final test sites.
- Monitors performance of operations, sourcing, and supply planning as related to demand and financial targets.
- Communicates effectively and proactively, engaging stakeholders across the organization to facilitate NPI launch, supply allocation, and expedites as needed.
Job Requirements
* Must be a student, enrolled in a university making forward progress towards a BS/BA degree, preferably majoring in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or Analytics.
Preferred Skills
* Previous knowledge of MRP/ERP and planning processes a plus.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into high level analysis and supply planning.
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems as needed.
* Strong statistical and mathematical abilities, as well as algorithmic modeling capabilities.
* Knowledge of different fulfillment models.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
