Staff Automotive Quality Engineer (Woburn, MA)
Skyworks is an innovator of high-performance analog semiconductors whose solutions are powering the wireless networking revolution. The Automotive Quality Engineer (AQE) will be working to implement automotive-oriented processes and best practices, identifying gaps against internal and external quality standards, and addressing these gaps in collaboration with Operations and Process, Product, and Quality Engineering Groups at Skyworks in Woburn, MA. The work will directly support the wafer fabrication operation that produces Compound-Semiconductor RF and mobile communication devices including HBT, BiFET, and BiHEMT technologies. This position will also work with his / her AQE counterpart in our Newbury Park, CA facility to harmonize business processes, achieve compliance with automotive standards, and implement customer-specific requirements (CSRs).
Responsibilities
Key Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Drive implementation and compliance with internal and external automotive flow requirements
- Be an integral part of the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) business process
- Drive resolution of quality issues for automotive products utilizing appropriate problem-solving methodologies including 8D.
- Help respond to customer automotive surveys
- Drive and maintain Process flow, PFMEA, and Production control plan linkages through the use of commercial software / systems.
- Drive and coordinate the Automotive Clean Launch Program
- Be an active member of the Problem Lot Disposition (PLD) team and Technical Review Board (TRB)
- Perform VDA6.3 process audits of internal manufacturing processes
- Coordinate and support automotive customer audits
