Position overview:
The SLAC Contract Management Office (CM) is integral to managing the prime contract with the Department of Energy (DOE) and Stanford University. This office is vital for maintaining strong partnerships, efficient tri-party collaboration, and facilitating effective contract operations.
This position works in collaboration with the Contract Management team and partners with stakeholders on updates. This position reports to the Director of Contractor Assurance Contract Management, and their work is divided with the Contract Manager.
Your specific responsibilities include:
Prime Contract Support
- Initiate Contract Maintenance Analysis (CMA) and Site Compliance Plans (SCP) with relevant information for analysis;
- Assist the CMA and SCP actions to ensure effective use of the contracting process, user guidance, and comprehensive documentation.
- Process and distribute Laboratory operational funding contract modifications.
- Maintain the conformed prime contract and post on the SLAC Legal website.
- Maintain the contract modification log for quick reference and running total of obligated funding.
- Conduct ongoing customer outreach to ensure that stakeholders understand their contract responsibilities, the RWG process, and contract management resources.
- Lead and manage programs or functions under minimal supervision.
Tools and Systems
- Maintain the institutional contract compliance tool (SLACTrak) to reflect current contract clauses, requirements, and deliverables.
- Manage the CMA and modification libraries.
- Maintain tracking system to monitor regulations during rulemaking processes (CFR, Federal Register, FAR, DEAR, DOE Acquisition Letters, Policy Flashes, Directives Action Status Report, etc.).
- Serve as a SLAC Designated Point of Contact (DPC) delegate for DOE RevCom Directives and Technical Standards.
- Maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for contract management functions.
- Maintain the Contract Management website and its online tools, including collaborative workspaces for DOE negotiations.
General duties and expectations:
- Lead the planning and operations for programs or functions that have significant business, regulatory and/or technical challenges requiring subject matter expertise.
- Evaluate programs or functions, policies and procedures. Identify issues, and develop alternative solutions which may include changes to programs, policies and procedures.
- Review and analyze trends to advise and develop recommendations to achieve or modify the goals of the program or function.
- Represent the program or function within the department, unit or school by committing resources and provide information and/or training. Represent the program or function at the university level and/or to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
- Manage and contribute e to the development of outreach strategy that may include relationship development, communications and compliance.
- May develop and/or oversee budgets; manage finances including monitoring, analyzing, forecasting, and reporting.
- Assess training needs and may develop associated training.
- May direct and/or supervise staff.
To be successful in this position you will bring:
- Bachelor¿s degree and five years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

The expected pay range for this position $116,849 - $148,275. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory/Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
