SLAC Job Postings
Position Overview
The Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource (SSRL), a directorate of SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, is a national user facility providing synchrotron radiation for research in biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, material science, medicine, and physics. SSRL operates and maintains the 3GeV electron storage ring SPEAR3, the associated injector facility, and synchrotron radiation beam lines on SPEAR3. The SSRL Accelerator Division operates, maintains, and upgrades the SSRL accelerator complex and performs R&D toward a future major upgrade for the facility.
SSRL seeks an Accelerator Physicist to lead the conceptual design of a future storage ring lightsource with performance that exceeds existing and planned storage rings.
Note: This is a non-benefits eligible casual-nonexempt position (work less than 50% full-time equivalent), not to exceed 980 hours in a calendar year.
Your Specific Responsibilities Include
