What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Lot Associate position at Slalom Shop - Lewisville?
The lead lot associate is responsible for the organization and maintenance of the dealership lot. As a leader, this individual will mentor a team of lot associates ensuring efficient operation of their respective OneWater Marine store.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties (Most Important to Least Important)
Ensure the lot is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Monitor and assist in the movement and positioning of boats, trailers, and other vehicles. Ensure all vehicles and boats are in safe working conditions.
Works closely with the sales and service departments to ensure timely preparation and delivery of boats. Assist with customer deliveries as needed.
Guide a team of lot associates. Provide team with continuous learning and training as needed to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure the lot is safe for all employees and customers.
Ensure all operations on the lot are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. Ensure all equipment, such as forklifts, are being used safely.
Analyze operations and find ways to increase efficiency, sales and profitability of the dealership. Help maintain inventory on the lot.
Assist with customer questions. Build and maintain positive team member and customer relationships to strengthen customer loyalty and enhance dealer reputation.
Support in the execution of successful boat shows, store and off-site sales/customer events, including boat movement and setup.
Any other duties as assigned.
SKILLS
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts and trucks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols.
- Basic understanding of marine products.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in automotive/marine-related fields preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
