SLAM Nevada is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Instructional Coach. Full details on how to apply for our K-12 public charter school position is included below.
The individual selected for this position will coordinate and provide specialized instructional support for K-12 teachers. These supports include, but are not limited to: working collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialists in developing long-range and weekly lesson plans, modeling best practices in classroom management and instruction, side-by-side coaching, assisting teachers in collecting and using data to plan instruction, using research-based strategies to meet the needs of all learners, supporting admin with various projects, and planning and leading professional development for all staff. An ideal candidate will have, or be working towards, an administrative endorsement.
At this time, SLAM is looking for an Instructional Coach focused at the 6-12 level and specializing in math. This position does include teaching two sections of College Prep Math.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Current Nevada Teaching License in secondary math
* 5 years of successful teaching experience
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Has attained the age of 18 years at the date of hire
- Possesses the ability to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check and fingerprinting.
- Valid Nevada teaching license

- Understands and implements, with documented evidence, the Nevada Academic Content Standards
