Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and physical education, with experience in coaching or teaching. This role involves supporting the head coach in training athletes, developing skills, and fostering a positive and motivating environment for students. The Assistant Coach will work closely with participants to enhance their abilities in various sports disciplines, including karate, cheerleading, swimming, and martial arts.
Duties
- Assist the head coach in planning and implementing training sessions and practice schedules.
- Provide instruction and guidance to athletes in techniques related to specific sports such as karate, cheerleading, swimming, and climbing.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth among participants.
- Monitor the progress of athletes and provide constructive feedback to improve their performance.
- Organize team activities and events that promote engagement and skill development.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all practices and events.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members regarding athlete progress and program updates.
Qualifications
- Experience in coaching or teaching physical education is preferred.
- Background in ballet, contemporary, jazz, and hip hop is desirerable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students of various ages.
- Experience working with children or youth in a coaching or educational capacity.
- Ability to educate athletes on proper techniques and strategies for improvement.
- A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment that promotes physical fitness and well-being.
- Must possess enthusiasm for sports coaching and a desire to inspire young athletes.

Pay: $1,200.00 per year
Expected hours: 3 – 12 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Weekends as needed
