Director, Audience Development
Front Office Sports is seeking a dynamic Director, Audience Development to develop a holistic approach to our audience development process – finding, growing and sustaining our audience across the entire Front Office Sports portfolio.
This will involve setting measurable targets to drive scale at the top of the funnel and then nurturing those users through audience engagement best practices. You'll partner with key stakeholders across edit, product, events, marketing, social and data to develop and execute an audience-first growth strategy to raise awareness and action for our brand. You’ll develop new and innovative ways to help realize our goals and diversify our revenue streams.
This is a high-energy role that requires a data-driven, innovative, and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of digital media trends, audience behavior, and the tools and tactics needed to drive engagement and conversions across multiple platforms and touchpoints.
This role will lead cross-departmental collaboration to align audience goals with business objectives and identify innovative opportunities to reach and monetize target audiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive audience development strategy that aligns with the company’s goals on key platforms including social channels, website, and email.
- Establish, monitor and optimize measurable audience channel goals.
- Create cross-promotional funnel strategies on our O&O and paid channels.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to help shape an enterprise-focused content strategy using first- and third-party data.
- Build a defensible organic audience strategy through current and future search engines.
- Analyze audience data and trends to inform content strategies and growth initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and measure success across all audience development efforts, reporting regularly on performance.
- Drive organic and paid growth strategies for social, search (SEO / SEM), newsletters, email marketing, video, and events.
- Collaborate with editorial, events, marketing, and creative teams to develop compelling content that attracts and retains audiences.
- Ensure content is distributed effectively across platforms, leveraging best practices for format and timing.
- Develop and execute audience loyalty programs and subscription initiatives.
- Partner with revenue teams to align audience growth strategies with advertising.
- Contribute to innovative revenue-generation strategies by identifying audience segments with high engagement and monetization potential.
