Expediter

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Expediter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant or food truck. The Expediter plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared and delivered efficiently, maintaining high standards of customer service and food quality. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. All personnel will have a 90 day probationary period.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the timely preparation of food orders, ensuring that all items are ready for service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to relay orders accurately and promptly.
• Assist in food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food handling and safety standards.
• Monitor the quality of dishes before they are served, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
• Work closely with servers to ensure that all orders are delivered correctly and in a timely manner.
• Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing any issues or concerns related to food orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred, particularly in roles related to food service or banquet operations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Experience as a cook or in food preparation is a plus but not required.
• Reliable transportation

Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
