Position Overview
We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support our Project Manager and collaborate closely with on-site supervisors. The ideal candidate will assist in administrative tasks, scheduling, documentation, client communications, and subcontractor coordination, ensuring smooth project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist the Project Manager in coordinating schedules, resources, and documentation to keep residential construction projects running smoothly.
- Scheduling: Work closely with supervisors and subcontractors to schedule daily tasks, track progress, and promptly address any scheduling issues.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely records using project management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Adaptive), ensuring all project details and updates are accessible to team members.
- Client Communication: Act as a secondary point of contact for clients, providing timely updates, addressing questions, and facilitating clear communication between clients, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Assist in the preparation, distribution, and follow-up of subcontractor work orders, change orders, and other necessary documentation.
- Budget Management: Support the Project Manager by helping track job costs, budgets, and expenses, ensuring accurate reporting and monitoring.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and communicate potential issues promptly, propose solutions, and follow through on implementation as directed by the Project Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in construction administration, coordination, or a related support role, ideally in residential construction.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with project management tools (Buildertrend, Asana, or similar), and proficient in Google Suite.
- Construction Knowledge: Basic understanding of residential construction processes, materials, and terminology.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, clear verbal and written communication, and comfort interacting with clients, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Attributes
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Degree or certification in construction management or a related field is beneficial but not required.
