Who we are looking for
Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, and experienced Network Engineer to join our growing team. The Network Engineer will be responsible for the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure that supports Slate's IT and OT (Operational Technology) environments, including manufacturing plants, office spaces, and connected vehicle ecosystems. The ideal candidate will bring experience with secure network architecture, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a deep understanding of automotive industry requirements, including cybersecurity standards and IoT technology.

What you get to do
- Design, configure, and deploy scalable and secure network infrastructure for office, plant, and R&D environments.
- Collaborate with IT and OT teams to support manufacturing systems, robotics, and related technology
- Monitor and maintain network health across WAN / LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Proactively optimize network performance and reduce latency for critical applications, including production systems and other technology
- Conduct regular network assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues in real-time to minimize downtime, especially in high-demand manufacturing environments.
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 network support for IT and OT
- Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, IP schematics, and device inventory.
- Prepare regular reports on network performance, incidents, and key metrics.
