As the Sprinkler Pipe fitter Foreman and Helpers, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. The ideal candidate has experience working as a pipe fitter and open to travel. This role will be 6-9 months long and going out to different military bases working on their systems. Must pass a military background and drug screen
2 Groups:
Start in Southern California and travel throughout California and AZ
Start in Springfield, MO and travel throughout central and NW USA.
Truck and travel expenses paid.
Your Role:
- Drain fire sprinkler pipe networks from 2 to 36 inches pipe works and AFFF bladder tanks.
- Collect the wet sprinkler system AFFF concentrations and solution into DOT approved containers.
- Operate a 3-ton forklift.
- Work in trenched areas to connect, refit, and adjust piping system in mechanical rooms.
- Do heavy, manual work.
- Walk long distances up and down slopes 1:1, 2:1 and 3:1 slope.
- Lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a non-consistent basis.
- Work in extreme (hot and cold) weather conditions safely including on very odorous project sites.
- Assist with cleaning up work areas, to insure a safe and clean workspace along with fueling vehicles, and equipment as necessary.
- Operate general site vehicles and equipment, such as pickup trucks, and smaller equipment.
- Drive a company vehicle for extended periods of time.
- Available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- Communicate with clients and peers using professional diction.
- Assist site supervisors with the materials and equipment needs and helping to collect supplies for projects.
- Perform system construction activities in a safe and proper manner.
- Perform maintenance on system components to ensure or restore proper operation and compliance.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working with fire sprinkler system pipe.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- High School Diploma and GED preferred.
- An initial CAC may be issued based on a favorable review of a fingerprint check and successfully scheduled Tier 1 investigation with the National Background Investigations Bureau.
- A team player with the ability and willingness to pitch in as needed in areas outside core responsibilities and expertise.
- Ability to communicate with colleagues, site supervisor and client’s site manager including all safety personnel.
Compensation:
Compensation commensurate with experience.
Up to $25/hour for Helper and up to $40/hour for Foreman.
A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
