What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute Food Service Worker position at Slater Schools?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential duties of this position include the following. Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks. Other duties may be assigned.
- Prepare and serve food and assist with cleanup.
- Wash dishes and utensils and operate automatic kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary specifications.
- Clean kitchen and cafeteria area(s).
- Know and follow all safety and sanitary rules and regulations related to food handling.
- Stock food and supplies for meals from storeroom and walk in freezer
- Assist in the maintenance of food quality.
- Monitor kitchen efficiencies and minimize food waste.
- Maintain appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
- Comply with applicable district, state, local and federal laws, rules and regulations.
- Interacts thoughtfully and courteously with students and staff.
- Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings as directed
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
