ScentWorx which is sold at Walmart and Kohls, AromaHome sold at Home Depot, Club92, a home fragrance collection sold in Dollar channel and the latest Dwell 212 sold at QVC. Harry Slatkin has also created home fragrance collections for numerous luxury brands including Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Chopard, and Christian Dior.


Job Overview:

Under the guidance of the Creative Director, the Production Designer will create production-ready files for various items like shrink wrap labels, boxes and decals. Work may include retouching and collaging images, applying artwork to dielines and laying out text. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is required. The ideal candidate is a detail oriented and experienced designer with a strong eye for layout, typography, color and composition. The Production Designer will also be responsible for sending production files to factories oversee, working through any issues that may arise and owning a project through all stages.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Receive, interpret, and implement direction/feedback from Production Manager
  • Solve design challenges while maintaining a high level of technical precision
  • Create production-ready and commercially viable artwork files using Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Interpret and apply approved templates and style guides to ensure consistency
  • Properly organize and name files, colors, layers, etc.
  • Participate in department meetings to discuss processes, project status etc.
  • Adhere to production schedules to manage time and prioritize daily workload
  • Technical skills to create and release production files.
  • Manage multiple design projects and product lines with varied deadlines
  • A flexible personality that can thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with repeat patterns is a plus
  • Communicate and work with our factories overseas to provide artwork, revisions as needed, and final approvals.


Skills Required:

  • Ability to create accurate production-ready mechanical files
  • Knowledge of print production
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop – must have knowledge of photo retouching, editing and collaging
  • Adobe In-Design is a plus
  • Multitask across large, complicated projects
  • Maintain a high level of productivity
  • Work in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
  • Learn new tools and processes quickly
  • Thrive in a highly collaborative environment
  • Anticipate project challenges and provide practical solutions



Qualifications / Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related field
  • 3-5 years work experience as a production designer
  • A portfolio of relevant and impactful work
