ScentWorx which is sold at Walmart and Kohls, AromaHome sold at Home Depot, Club92, a home fragrance collection sold in Dollar channel and the latest Dwell 212 sold at QVC. Harry Slatkin has also created home fragrance collections for numerous luxury brands including Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, Chopard, and Christian Dior.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Senior Account Manager to lead our on air and digital business with QVC and HSN for the HomeWorx, ScentWorx and DWELL212 by Slatkin Co. brands. The ideal candidate must have 5 years of experience in managing QVC and HSN's on air businesses and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive sales growth across both QVC’s and HSN’s on air and digital businesses. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, fragrance, and operations, to manage product assortments and meet sales goals. This role reports directly into the Senior Director of Sales. Slatkin Co. is a fast scaling, pressure driven environment, and we are looking for a target focused and achievement oriented candidate to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for QVC and HSN, building and maintaining strong relationships with key teams at QVC and HSN including Merchandising, Retail Media Network, Category Production, and livestreaming.
- Sales Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth across both QVC and HSN platforms. Strategic sales planning will include managing 5,000 minutes of annual air time, and mapping out successful product assortments for branded hours and outside hits
- Revenue Growth: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, product launches, and promotional initiatives to add airtime, and increase productivity to grow total sales
- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, fragrance, logistics, operations, and compliance to ensure seamless execution of airings and promotional offers to align with business objectives.
- Product Presentation & Planning: Ensure that product assortments and seasonal campaigns are optimized for QVC and HSN audiences, utilizing TV and online formats to maximize visibility.
- Inventory Forecasting & Reporting: Manage inventory forecasting, on hand inventory, sales analysis, and budget planning to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. Provide regular updates on on-air and digital sales performance, key insights, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Assortment Planning File Management: Create and manually update a product assortment file of 500 Home Fragrance and Bath and Body SKUs on a daily basis
- PO Management: Manually extract 200 purchase orders from QVC and HSN’s vendor portal, and enter into spreadsheet to track, item #’s, DC location, costs, descriptions, and ship date
- Net Suite: Utilize Net Suite to enter purchase orders and run reports on weekly basis
- Problem Solving: Be proactive in addressing any operational or customer service issues that arise, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve them quickly and effectively.
- Market Trends & Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on home fragrance, beauty, home décor, and industruy trends, QVC/HSN-specific strategies, and competitor activity to recommend adjustments and maintain competitive advantage.
- Creating a Robust TV Product Assortment: Build and manage a product assortment to fill 70 hours of annual airtime, ensuring the right mix of products to appeal to QVC and HSN audiences while driving sales.
- Product Development Collaboration: Work closely with the product development team to create promotional-driven product offers, showcasing value to customers and boosting on-air sales performance.
- Digital Strategy: Develop and manage digital assortments for QVC and HSN to drive incremental sales volume through both the TV and online shopping experiences.
- On-Air Marketing Collaboration: Partner with our on-air marketing agency to provide recommendations for set styling and on-air selling strategies to improve item productivity and drive higher sales during on-air presentations.
- Working Hours: 9am-6pm. Candidate is required to be available during these hours, despite this being a remote position. Availability past 6pm may be needed to hit key project deadlines or prep for meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5 years) in managing QVC and HSN's on-air businesses.
- Strong understanding of television and digital shopping environments, and how they drive consumer purchasing behavior.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to think strategically while also managing the day-to-day details of running a successful account.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience in sales forecasting, inventory management, reporting, and financial planning.
- Fragrance Experience: Must have at least 3 years of experience in the fragrance industry to translate to both Home Fragrance and Bath and Body products, with a strong understanding of product category and consumer trends.
- Location: Must be located in the NY Metro Area. The role is remote, but monthly travel to QVC’s studio park campus in West Chester, PA is required. Domestic travel to meet for in person sales team will be as needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Product Offering for TV Expertise: Must know how to build out a product assortment to fill a branded hour for both home fragrance and bath and body products.
- Value-Driven Assortment Creation: Must understand how to create a value-driven assortment that appeals to QVC and HSN audiences while maximizing sales opportunities.
- Air Time Calendar Management: Must know how to manage an air time calendar effectively to drive sales volume and ensure optimal product placement.
- NetSuite Experience: Experience with NetSuite to enter purchase orders and run detailed reports.
- Excel Expertise: High level of proficiency in Excel, including the ability to run pivot tables and create buy sheets to support purchasing and sales analysis.
- Showtime PALs: Must have a strong understand of how to read a showtime PAL, and make recommendations to translate to strong demand per minute sales
