">Required Skills and QualificationsThe Second Shift Assembler will require a strong foundation in various assembling/testing principles, including safety policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, a preference for one-year certificate from technical school/college, and 2 years experience in a related field.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various assembling/testing principles.
- Solve complex problems with autonomy, recognizing issues in the assembling/testing process and reporting to appropriate supervisors and/or lead persons in a timely manner.
- Select and use proper pressure gauges, chart recorders, and tools for valve assembly and testing.
- Interpret assembly drawings, SPs, QPs, work instructions, and tools/equipment needed for assembly operations with minimal assistance.
- Perform internal stenciling and/or marking for required traceability purposes.
- Utilize computer systems to retrieve relevant work documents, such as engineering drawings, routings, and other documents related to assembly and testing of valves or related products.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of safety policies and procedures (Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Quest, etc.). Operate overhead crane and other capacity lifting equipment (forklift) safely.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and programs.
- Communicate effectively with customers during witness processes to ensure customer compliance.
- Provide formal guidance and support to new team members.
