Position Summary :

This Director of Operations Analytics position is responsible for mining, organizing, and analyzing complex business data, presenting conclusions, and making actionable recommendations to Sr. and Executive Leadership. Utilize analytical skills and appropriate analytics and data mining tools to routinely monitor and streamline business processes in a wide range of disciplines in the specialty finance industry including application processing, operations, and marketing. Utilize BPM / Workflow and Rule Technologies to supplement in-place processing systems in the companies' contact centers. Provide recommendations for strategy and process improvement in the daily operations of the business.

This position's responsibilities can span across different functional areas as it relates to monetizing enterprise data to gain actionable insights into different functional areas of the enterprise. These insights must be translated into specific recommendations that are implemented and whose attributable value is clearly measured.

Essential Functions :

  • Partner with the call center / ops senior leadership to develop data-driven strategies to create business value in the call center value chain
  • Analyzes and interprets risk data using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining. Documents findings, presents and makes data-driven and analytics-based recommendations to Sr. Management.
  • Compiles reports, charts, and tables based on established analytical methods.
  • Oversees project lifecycle of data studies or any other projects related to risk or analytics in the operational areas of the business (fulfillment, servicing, and collections).
  • Make recommendations for necessary changes on projects that come from other departments.
  • Develop and monitor forecasting models; complete monthly / quarterly trend analysis; conduct ongoing sensitivity analysis to optimize business recommendations.
  • Build and monitor predictive models in marketing, loan acquisition, and recovery stages of the business and develop strategies to deploy those models.
  • Effectively Leads both people and high-impact large-scale projects in the essential area of risk and marketing analytics.
  • Coach and mentor other employees in the operations and / or analytics team and those that are directly reporting to the role (if applicable) by way of Job-Specific Knowledge and Problem Solving and in other competencies such as influencing and communications and serves as an exemplary role model in those critical competencies.

  • Experience & Education Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Statistics or a similar discipline. Graduate degree preferred.
  • 5 years of independent mining, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting data
  • 5 years experience in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Location / Travel :

  • Work is in the office in Kennesaw, GA.
  • Required Travel : Infrequent / Not applicable.
  • Computer Software / Hardware Knowledge :

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
  • Outlook Exchange
  • Proficiency in a large-data manipulation tool, such as, SAS, SQL, R, or Python is required
  • Experience with workflow management systems and rules engines is a plus
  • Physical Requirements / Work Environment :

  • Must be able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time, talking & hearing constantly.
  • Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer monitor(s) daily.
  • Noise level : moderate noise level daily in an office atmosphere.
  • LI-Hybrid.
