The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing patient appointments, coordinating schedules between providers and patients, and ensuring the efficient flow of daily operations in a medical practice. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills to handle scheduling, confirm appointments, and assist with various administrative tasks to support the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Patient Appointments: Schedule and confirm patient appointments with providers, ensuring appropriate time slots and provider availability and ensuring that patients are scheduled for appropriate follow-up visits or additional procedures.
- Coordinate Provider Schedules: Maintain and update the schedules of providers and
- Patient Communication: Contact patients to confirm, reschedule, or cancel appointments as necessary. Handle patient inquiries about scheduling, wait times, and appointment details.
- Office Efficiency: Monitor patient flow and manage the schedule to minimize patient wait times. Assist in managing patient check-ins and check-outs.
- Front Desk Support: Provide additional front desk duties such as greeting patients, answering phones, and processing paperwork as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience: Prior experience in medical office scheduling, patient coordination, or administrative roles within a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with scheduling software, EHR systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic office equipment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
- Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:
