Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical practices, including urgent care, infection control, and aseptic techniques. The Nurse Practitioner will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory results.
- Provide care in various settings, including ER, PICU, and urgent care facilities.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Utilize cardiac catheterization techniques when necessary for patient evaluations.
- Apply coding knowledge for accurate billing and documentation of services rendered.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant state licensure.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency room settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Previous experience in pediatric intensive care (PICU) or laboratory settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
