Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, perform assessments, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of various medical practices, including urgent care, infection control, and aseptic techniques. The Nurse Practitioner will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and health histories.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory results.
  • Provide care in various settings, including ER, PICU, and urgent care facilities.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients and families about health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care effectively.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Utilize cardiac catheterization techniques when necessary for patient evaluations.
  • Apply coding knowledge for accurate billing and documentation of services rendered.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner certification with relevant state licensure.
  • Experience in urgent care or emergency room settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques is essential.
  • Previous experience in pediatric intensive care (PICU) or laboratory settings is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
