What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Insurance Coordinator position at SLEEP DENTISTRY OF PORTLAND?
Our team is growing and we are looking for another experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team! This person will help with patient billing questions, following up on outstanding dental insurance claims, verification and breakdowns with dental insurance, and claim attachments, along side with our other amazing Insurance Coordinators. This role is crucial to ensure smooth, efficient, and transparent communication between our practices, patients, and insurance companies.
Prior dental insurance billing, verification and breakdown experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Claims Processing: Helping to submit and track dental insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
- Insurance Verification & Benefit Coordination: Contact insurance carriers and patients to verify benefits and ensure accurate coverage details are provided.
- Billing Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, working with insurance companies and patients to address and correct issues.
- Patient Communication: Serve as a point of contact for patient inquiries regarding insurance benefits, claims.
- Customer Service Excellence: Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and caring atmosphere for all patients, both in person and over the phone.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our dental teams, to ensure cohesive patient care and practice success.
