Position Summary:
· Assists in leading and managing various hotel operations including staffing, P&L responsibilities, sales & marketing, guest services, facilities management and manager-on-duty oversight.
· Establishes a positive work environment and an attitude of exceptional guest service and superior room cleanliness.
· Enforces policies and procedures established by General Manager, Great Lakes Management Group and franchise brand.
· Acts as Manager-on-Duty in absence of General Manager.
Key Functions:
· Provides exceptional guest service to all guests setting the standards for all employees to follow.
· Maintains personal contact with in-house guests and clients in the community to ensure guest loyalty
· Assists with various accounting/financial functions including AP, AR, city ledger billing, guaranteed no-show billing, direct bill accounts, 100% files, end-of-month reports and other department reports.
· Assists in analyzes financial performance by comparing actual performance to planned performance, identifying variances, and initiating corrective action.
· Assists in maintaining product and service quality standards by investigating complaints and initiating corrective action.
· Assists with local sales and marketing efforts of hotel's products and services.
· Assists in inspecting guestrooms to ensure compliance with all applicable cleanliness standards.
· Monitors the lobby, breakfast, and all public areas to ensure cleanliness.
· Assists in monitoring and maintains procedures for control of supplies, keys, monies and credit.
· Assists in development of all management and hourly team members while also trained and able to perform any position at the hotel.
· Supervises front desk staff to include recruitment & selection, orientation, training & development, scheduling, counseling, performance management, and other employee relations’ issues.
· Maximizes revenue and occupancy by accurately selling rooms, up selling during reservation calls and at check in, and by making future reservations at check out.
· Maintains clean, neat and professional appearance of front desk area and back office.
· Responds to all emergency situations as needed, including locating and shutting down of gas valves, water valves, fire system and elevators.
· Assists in monitoring and maintains procedures for safety of guests and hotel employees.
· Remains current on industry trends and local market activities; responds to the same.
- Ability to work longer hours when necessary to complete assigned projects/meet deadlines.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and evidence of self-insurability.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
