Hotel Maintenance Worker

Job Overview
Hello and thank you for your interest in the position of Full Time Hotel Maintenance Worker. We are seeking a reliable, dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Maintenance Person will play a crucial role in maintaining our facilities to ensure a safe, clean and functional environment for all. Must be flexible with schedule and available to work weekends including Sundays and holidays.

Duties

• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues and areas needing attention.
• Utilize Maintenance Requests and assignments given by the Executive Housekeeper and the General Manager
• Execute painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic standards.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and guests.
• Collaborate with management and team members to complete larger projects, demonstrating leadership when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist with cleaning exterior of hotel and parking lot and inside hotel public areas as required.
• Assist with the locking systems
• Observant to all surroundings, good listener for sounds related to repairs with prompt response
• Must be excellent in communications with Executive Housekeeper and General Manager

Experience

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
• Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
• Experience with cleaning is a plus.
• Proficiency in English is required for clear communication with team members and guests.
• Previous experience in painting is advantageous.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in a maintenance or hotel setting are beneficial.
• Customer service experience is highly valued, ensuring positive interactions with all guests and employees.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
