Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Front Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our front office. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and train the Front Office staff
Ensure the front desk provides a professional and friendly service for guests
Assist with guest check-in
Coordinate staff scheduling
Acts as a liaison between General Manager and the staff
Assists with various accounting/financial functions including AP, AR, city ledger billing, guaranteed no-show billing, direct bill accounts, 100% files, end-of-month reports, and other department reports.
The Front Office is the area of the hotel where guests form their first and last impressions of the hotel. This makes it important for the Front Office Manager to work hard to create a pleasant guest experience to ensure their return.
Work Environment
You’ll be working in the guest-facing portion of hospitality. This means being in contact with people all the time.
Though a hotel Front Office Manager creates their schedule along with that of the other Front Office employees, the importance of the job usually means being available and flexible in case of emergency.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
· Prior hotel Front Office Manager experience.
· Prior experience with Choice Hotels.
Preferred Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
