Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, facilities maintenance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent customer service skills are essential as you will interact with various departments to address maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues as they arise.
- Fabricate parts and components as needed to support repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and troubleshooting procedures.
- Supervise junior maintenance staff, providing guidance and leadership during projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of supplies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
- Respond promptly to service requests from other departments to minimize downtime.
- Assist in the development of preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for electrical troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Experience in supervising or leading teams is preferred but not required.
- Skills in welding or metal fabrication are a plus but not mandatory.
- Must be detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
