What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental and Medical Assistance Specialist position at Sleep Medicine Institute of Texas, PA?
Are you a skilled and compassionate professional with experience in both dental and medical assisting? Our sleep medicine practice is seeking a Dental Assistant who can also perform Medical Assistant duties, including patient triage and assisting with scans.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental scans and assist with imaging procedures
- Triage patients, take vital signs, and gather medical history
- Assist in patient education and preparation for Sleep Studies
- Manage patient records and documentation accurately
- Provide general support to the clinical team as needed
Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or relevant experience preferred
- Medical Assistant certification or relevant experience a plus
- Experience with dental imaging/scanning technology
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical/dental office procedures
