What are the responsibilities and job description for the MEDICAL LAB TECHNOLOGIST position at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital?
Performs routine test in the medical laboratory for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease in accordance with the clinical and governmental standards and within the established budget.
- Medical Technologists/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT/CLT) with Bachelor’s Degree.
OR
- Achieve satisfactory grade in a proficiency examination approved by HHS.
OR
- Qualifies under CLIA ‘67 or CLIA ‘88 personnel guidelines.
- Certification from ASCP BOC.
- Valid MN driver’s license.
- DOT and BAT certification (Training provided by SEMC).
- Continuing Education by accreditation agency.
- Preferred One (1) year of recent experience in an accredited laboratory.
Sleepy Eye Medical Center is seeking a full-time Medical Technologist (MT)/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). 64-80 hours per two-week pay period. Rotating weekends and holidays, and call rotation during the week and weekends. Responsibilities include: o btaining orders, collecting and processing specimens, knowledge of testing procedures, quality control, quality assurance, and analyzer maintenance following established standards and practices.
