What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Sleepy Eye Rehabilitation Center?
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing high-quality direct care to residents. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), the LPN ensures that care is delivered in accordance with the Service Plan, Minnesota Board of Nursing standards, and the Resident's Bill of Rights.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify resident Plans of Care, implementing interventions delegated, ordered, or prescribed by the RN.
- Collect and compare resident health data, reporting changes and responses to interventions to the RN in an ongoing manner.
- Assign and monitor nursing tasks or activities of unlicensed nursing staff through assessment of their knowledge, skill, and capabilities.
Requirements:
- Completion of a professional nursing education program approved by the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
- Current Minnesota License as a Practical Nurse.
- Current Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and emergency care.
