The Camp Director position is a high-energy leader responsible for overseeing Sleepy Hollow Country Club's summer day camp, ensuing a safe, engaging, and memorable experience for youth members. They coordinate with professional coaching staff and enthusiastic camp camp counselors to deliver exceptional programs utilizing the Club's state-of-the art facilities.
Key responsibilities include: Ensure compliance with New York State Children's Camp code and maintain required safety plans. Collaborate with Club professionals and the Activities Director to schedule sports programs and activities. Recruit, train, and supervise camp staff, ensuring proper background checks and compliance with camper -staff ratios. Oversee camper documentation, daily operations, and adherence to schedules. Supervise safety protocols, fire drills, and emergency response procedures. Maintain required records and communicate with parents as needed.
Additional Duties: Oversee daily drop-off, pick-up, and lunch supervision. Plan and lead daily activities. Handle administrative tasks, including supply management and program space organization. Coordinate special youth activities on select evenings/weekends in July.
Onsite: June 23 - August 15, 2025. (weekdays 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM). Pre-season: Planning (Nov), staff recruitment (Feb/March), parent communication (May), and training (June).
Ability to walk, climb, stand, and lift up to 50 lbs.
