Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our construction/service firm as an Office Assistant and Bookkeeper. In this position, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records with various accounting tasks, and supporting staff by performing various office tasks. Responsibilities:
- Answer the phone in a professional manner; take accurate messages with complete information.
- Collect and file information in an organized manner for easy retrieval and reference
- Assist in office projects as needed
- Assist & maintain the company's bookkeeping function on Sage 100 (Master Builder).
- Verifying the accuracy of deliveries, invoices and other documents or records
- Compiling data and preparing a variety of reports
- Investigating questionable data
- Full cycle Accounts Receivable
- Full cycle Accounts Payable
- Responsible for government filings related to certified payroll and prevailing wage – willing to train
- Highly analytical and able to multi- task and meet deadlines
- Meets deadlines, prioritizes company assignments and maintains professional composure under pressure and dynamic conditions
- Other various administrative tasks and support to field crew as needed
Requirements:
- Experience in Sage 100 (Master Builder) is a plus
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Organizational, verbal and written communication skills in English a must
- Strong attention to detail, highly organized and computer literate
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced office
- Must be able to keep client matters strictly confidential
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Self-motivated, punctual, reliable and self-managed
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
