What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at SLG Investment Holdings?
We are seeking 2 dedicated and detail-oriented Production Operators to work on site in Fountain Inn. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of various machinery and quality control processes, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor a variety of equipment and production machinery including mixing/blending equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks and assist in change-over of the equipment
- Maintain an accurate inventory through activities such as: proper reporting of material usage, minimizing wastes, and ensuring that measuring devices are properly calibrated
- Accurately complete all paperwork and data entry to support job tasks
- Assist in physical inventories
- Safely stage and move materials by hand and by operating a powered industrial truck (fork-lift)
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies at all times.
Requirements
- 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Production operator or batch making/mixing experience preferred.
- Solid Math Skills including basic calculations in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic percents and fractions
- Strong, logical decision making skills
- Experience with time management and multitasking.
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to read and write English
- Able to safely perform related physical demands of the role: lift up to 50 pounds as needed, stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands or arms; talk and hear.
This position is full time temp to hire 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday $17-$18/hr DOE. Apply on really or call 864-331-2079.
