Job Overview:We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead two family-owned local pizza restaurants. This role combines operational management with hands-on pizza preparation and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pizza and customer service, strong managerial skills, and the ability to oversee daily operations while stepping in as needed for pizza making. You will be ensuring that both locations run smoothly, maintain high-quality food standards, and provide exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Supervise daily operations of both restaurants, ensuring the smooth flow of activities including food preparation, staffing, customer service, and cleanliness.
- Hands-on Pizza Preparation: Be actively involved in pizza making, ensuring quality and consistency in food preparation, toppings, and cooking methods. Lead by example in maintaining a high standard of pizza quality.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Hire, train, and motivate staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to meet customer expectations. Implement training programs for pizza-making skills, food safety, and customer service.
- Customer Service Excellence: Oversee customer interactions, ensuring every guest has a fantastic experience. Resolve any issues or complaints quickly, maintaining a positive reputation for the restaurants.
- Inventory & Supply: Oversee inventory management, order supplies, and ensure adequate stock of ingredients, especially pizza-related items. Work with suppliers to maintain quality and cost-efficiency.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations to ensure a safe and clean environment for both staff and customers.
- Marketing & Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events, local marketing campaigns, and specials to increase foot traffic and brand awareness.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with both restaurant teams positive work culture where staff feel valued and motivated.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports on restaurant performance, and staff productivity to the owner.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience (5 years) in a managerial role, ideally in the pizza or foodservice industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Hands-on experience with pizza preparation, including dough making, topping, and cooking.
- Solid understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- A passion for pizza and the food industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing multiple locations.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Knowledge of local food trends, marketing strategies, and customer engagement techniques.
