Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality culinary creations. Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative and delicious menu items
- Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and control costs
- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop seasonal menus
- Train new kitchen staff members
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- Extensive knowledge of food handling, food management, and kitchen management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of inventory control and cost management techniques
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and dietary department procedures
