Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately for processing transactions.
- Handle cash responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly service and assistance as needed.
- Monitor guest consumption of alcohol and adhere to responsible serving practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Stay informed about menu items, specials, and promotions to effectively assist customers.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Bartender or in a similar role within the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of drink recipes, bartending techniques, and food safety practices.
- Proficiency in basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately.
- Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
