Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. This role is essential in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision while ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
• Conduct product demos to promote sales and enhance customer engagement.
• Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change returns.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.

Skills

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Familiarity with retail math concepts for accurate transaction processing.
• Basic math skills for handling cash and making change accurately.
• Experience with cash handling procedures to ensure security and accuracy in transactions.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customer bases.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
