Job Summary:
The Dean of Student Services and Academics provides leadership in student support services, academic programs, and instructional excellence. This position oversees student engagement, academic achievement, intervention programs, and compliance with state and federal education regulations. The Dean works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and counselors to create a positive, supportive learning environment that ensures student success.
Academic Leadership & Instructional Support:
- Provide oversight and leadership in curriculum development, instructional practices, and academic programs.
- Work with teachers and administrators to implement research-based instructional strategies that improve student performance.
- Monitor student achievement data and use analysis to drive academic improvements.
- Ensure curriculum alignment with state and district standards.
Student Services & Support:
- Develop and implement programs that support student attendance, engagement, and behavioral success.
- Collaborate with campus leaders to create an inclusive and supportive school environment.
Compliance & Accountability:
- Ensure the district’s adherence to state and federal regulations related to student services and academic programs.
- Assist in coordinating state assessments and academic accountability measures.
- Monitor and support educators in meeting professional development and certification requirements.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and support staff to align academic and student services goals with district priorities.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for educators and staff.
- Serve as a liaison between the school district and community organizations that support student success.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in education or student support services.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, student services, and school accountability measures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
