What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry-Level Manufacturing Associate position at SLIGER?
This position includes training on all tools, equipment, tasks, and procedures.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is not required.
FABRICATION DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with loading and unloading of material on Punch / Laser.
- Safely shake out of parts from laser skeletons, shear and discard skeletons into scrap bins.
- Count and QC parts coming from Laser / Punch department.
- Operation of osculating disc, polish wheels, sanding belts, files, and other debur equipment.
- Operations of TimeSaver equipment to grain parts and remove scratches.
- Assist with Press Brake / Bending department needs as required.
- Operate Hardware Presses to install PEM hardware into sheet metal parts.
- Return PEM Hardware Inventory to shelves after use, count inventory when required.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe, work environment.
- Other mechanical and work process tasks that may arise.
POWDER COAT DEPARMENT
- Cleaning of parts per powder coat dept leads instructions
- Masking and plugs of parts per drawings, work orders, and templates (tape, paper, cardboard, silicone plugs, etc)
- Hanging of parts with CV hooks as instructed by painter
- Unracking and quality checking of finished parts.
ASSEMBLY DEPARTMENT
- Help with sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies as required.
- Assist with wire and cable assemblies when required.
- Assist with preparation for shipping and packaging.
ALL DEPARTMENTS
- Move parts from department to department on pallet jacks and carts.
- Assisting with rework parts.
- Basic cleaning duties, dusting/vacuuming tables, cleaning machinery, sweeping floors, organizing tools, emptying trash cans etc.
Requirements:
- Good hygiene, shower daily.
- Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Ability to read, interpret and fill out written forms for internal work processes.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- No baggy or loose fitting clothes or jewelry.
- Comfortable shoes, boots recommended.
