PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To develop and deliver high-quality training content including print and digital formats while incorporating innovative training tools, resources, and learning and development opportunities to the entire Slim Chickens brand.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Written Content Development
- Designs and creates all aspects of the development of training materials for team members, managers, multi-unit managers, operators, franchisees and support center staff.
- Responsible for maintaining and updating current training and operations manuals and tools.
- Responsible for writing creative and energetic training materials incorporating relevant imagery and graphics.
- Oversee the design and development of all written training and operational materials.
- Assist with the creation of all new and limited time product rollouts to the system.
- Create engaging, succinct, and direct messaging for operational/training materials to drive sales, guest satisfaction and more efficient operations.
- Maintain an up-to-date MIT Syllabus and any additional development tools/resources to support entire training team efforts.
- Supports all training and operations initiatives and projects.
- Coordinates and supports a successful partnership with the print vendor to ensure all materials available are current and accurate.
- Works with all outside graphic design and technical writers to create, update and/or translate training and operations materials.
Digital Content Development
- Creates content to drive high performance while identifying and accelerating employee growth.
- Assists in developing materials to maintain Slim’s University online LMS platform.
- Assists in the development of training videos, storyboards, shot sheets and filming when necessary.
- Conduct custom photoshoots for materials and coursework where relevant.
- Develop and maintain QR Code technologies.
- Manage all files and documents within The Porch to ensure organization, accuracy, and up-to-date file presentation.
- Coordinates and supports successful partnership with print vendors to ensure all materials available on the website are current and accurate.
Slim Chickens systems principles and objectives- Has a thorough understanding of Slim Chickens' established operating systems (e.g., quality, security, office environment, company policies, safety) and recognizes the responsibility to stay updated on these systems and the role this position plays in supporting them.
Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives- This position description is designed to guide the activities of the Manager of Content Development. It is not meant to restrict the individual's creativity or limit their thinking, nor does it encompass all the tasks that may be required in this role.
Physical Activities- Primarily performed in an office environment. Involves entering and retrieving information on a computer and visually verifying details, often in small print. May also require presenting information to small or large groups.

• In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations.

Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Power Point, Articulate Storyline
• Skilled working in various formats and creating content suited for laptop (Mac) computers, Tablet, iPhone, Projector, Powerpoint
• 1-3 years of Learning Management System experience
• 1-3 years of learning and development experience
• Instructional design, working on cross-functional teams or projects, and education experience preferred
Education and Experience Required
• Bachelor’s degree in education, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or another related field preferred
• 2 years in Instructional Design
• Restaurant training and development background a plus
• Restaurant management a plus
