Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our establishment. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery while managing staff and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This position requires strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, particularly in fine dining and casual dining settings.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen and service staff during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain high standards of food production, presentation, and service in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist in inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving service efficiency and guest experiences.
- Prepare reports on operational performance, including sales, labor costs, and inventory usage.
Skills
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and hospitality management principles.
- Familiarity with banquet operations and fine dining standards is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to effectively manage inventory control processes.
