We're now on the search for an ambitious Account Director, B2B - Public Relations to join our US team and be instrumental to the growth of the business and be our first person on the ground in San Francisco.
The role you'll play
As an Account Director, B2B - Public Relations based in San Francisco, you'll provide high quality strategic communications counsel, develop audience-first strategies and lead teams of ambitious go-getters to execute integrated campaigns and secure results. You'll also get involved with agency projects, help grow the business and expand our services, all while acting as an agency ambassador in San Francisco You'll be responsible for helping grow our team, presence, and network in the Bay Area with a focus on permeating tech, startups, and venture capitalists.
In return, you'll be working with some of the most exciting and innovative brands who are truly disrupting traditional industries, have purpose-driven missions, and are looking to shake things up.
To be successful in this role you'll need
- 7 years of public relations experience, with a specialism working with start-up / scale up technology clients. Integrated work where you've overseen or directly executed not only PR but influencer / creator, social, content or more is a plus. A network of media and contacts in VC is a double plus.
- Experience leading and overseeing integrated public relations account teams. From setting strategies, to managing budgets, providing strategic counsel to clients, and assessing outcomes
- Have proven team leadership, people management, and mentor skills
- Experience in managing accounts and client needs on a day-to-day basis
- Be capable of driving strategy, have strong critical thinking skills, and a sense of creativity for a number of public relations campaigns / accounts, ensuring satisfaction across your client portfolio
- Build, nurture, and grow relationships with top tier media, stakeholders, and VCs
- Have experience or a desire to work on new business, from proposal development to pitching clients
- Be able to develop scopes of work and budgets, manage service levels with meeting deliverables, while keeping teams engaged and motivated
- A drive and desire to be part of our growth story as we continue building up our US team
