Summary :
The Accounting Manager will lead the month-end close and reporting process into OneStream for all entities, including the review and approval of account reconciliations, review of balance sheet analyses, and quarterly SOX analysis, directing the activities of the General Ledger Team. The Accounting Manager will direct the activities of the General Ledger Team, serve as a key partner providing financial expertise, recommendations, and solutions to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
Job Responsibilities :
Supervisory
- Manage the senior accountants (site controllers) who are responsible for financial reporting and operations support for their respective location(s)
- Provide career development opportunities, conduct performance evaluations, and lead annual goal setting
- Coordinate training for current and new accounting staff
Month-end and quarter-end close process
Ensure that reported results are accurate and comply with US GAAPParticipate / coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities including journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysisConduct detailed reviews of balance sheet and trial balances during month end closeReview and approve balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completenessIdentify and implement process improvement opportunitiesAudit and review monthly product line gross margin statements by entityAnalyze monthly gross margins and other key metrics and provide reporting to finance and operations management on a periodic basisMaintain and improve internal controls for accounting transactionsReview individual entity quarterly SOX analytics P&Ls / BS and summarizes at the total company levelCoordinate information requests from internal and external auditors, in collaboration with other team membersOther

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance (CPA preferred)Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in general accountingExperience managing accounting personnelAbility to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Cost Accounting StandardsExperience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to research, compile, analyze and interpret dataGood written, verbal communication and collaborative skillsStrong PC skills with Microsoft Office requiredKnowledge of Epicor or ERP experience preferredStrong organizational and communicational skillsExcellent interpersonal and communications skills, both oral and writtenEmployment Type : Full Time
