Responsibilities:
- Champion safety programs and enforce compliance with workplace safety standards
- Lead and mentor the manufacturing engineering team to ensure effective performance
- Manage team members’ professional development by providing guidance and training
- Ensure collaboration across functions to meet production goals
- Development and implementation of manufacturing processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and product quality
- Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to reduce waste and enhance production capabilities
- Manage engineering projects related to process improvements, new product introductions, and facility upgrades
- Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and track progress to ensure successful project completion
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to assess project success and address any issues
- Provide technical support to the production floor to address any issues related to machines, tooling or production methods
- Ensure the production team has the resources and tools necessary to meet production targets
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing challenges to minimize downtime
- Ensure all manufacturing processes meet or exceed quality standards
- Work closely with the quality control team to resolve issues related to defects or non-conformance
- Work with budgetary constraints while ensuring that manufacturing processes are cost-effective
- Provide cost estimates and develop routings
- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality
- Monitor expenses related to engineering and manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related degree
- Three years of manufacturing engineering and or quality management experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry
- In depth knowledge of CNC machining, and fabrication processes (hands on experience preferred)
- Experience in GD&T and SPC is required
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of engineering practices, quality control, and customer satisfaction
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment parts is a plus
- Experience with ISO 9001 or similar ISO requirements
- Familiarity with Six Sigma/DMAIC initiatives is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Sound organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $145,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
