This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze data effectively to optimize load-building activities, routes and schedules.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule trucks and drivers ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate load-building and delivery capacities regularly to sales team and management.
- Monitor fleet operations using GPS technology to track vehicle locations and performance.
- Manage delivery and receiving processes, including documentation and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including data entry into relevant systems such as Epicor Eagle and DDMS.
- Analyze transportation data and work flow to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding schedules, routes, and any changes that may arise.
- Communicate with sales any challenges or issues with schedule, jobsite conditions, delivery instructions or other elements that may be relevant to sales team members.
- Assist in transportation planning to optimize fleet utilization and reduce operational costs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of transportation management principles and practices.
- Proficient in data entry with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including documentation requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with drivers, sales, management and other team members effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Compensation for the role is based on experience and will include performance-based Bonus on top of your base compensation, 401k w/match, paid time off, health Insurance and many more benefits.
