Job Description The Opportunity: We are recruiting for an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Critical Care Team with Saint Luke’s Physician Group. Shift Details: Nights, weekends, and holidays are expected. This role is night shift and schedules may fluctuate based on the needs of the practice. The Work: The Advanced Practice Provider works collaboratively with physicians, APP’s, and other multidisciplinary teams. Gather objective and subjective data to develop a plan of care for critically ill patients. Accurately/concisely presents patient data to physicians during patient rounds. Perform accurate physical assessment on critically ill patients. Appropriately orders and interpret diagnostic studies in the critical care setting. Comprehensive knowledge base of common disease processes seen in the critical care environment. Performs ongoing assessment of patient response to plan of care, updates plan of care as needed based on response. Accurately documents progress notes, discharge summaries and H&P in timely manner. Active participant in quality improvement initiatives in the critical care unit. Able to respond and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions. Able to work in a high paced, demanding environment. Displays positive leadership skills amongst the multi-disciplinary team. Acquires new knowledge quickly and efficiently. Displays effective and clear communication amongst the multi-disciplinary team. Thinks pro-actively in approaching patient care and able to anticipate changing needs of patients.
