Description:
Essential responsibilities:
- Prospect for new catering business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, attending community functions, blitzes, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, etc.
- Develop long term business relationships and consistently book repeat business.
- Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer rating reports/questionnaires
- Follow proper event management procedures for event execution to include but not limited to BEO creation, F&B forecasting,
- Respond to all customer inquiries within 24 hours or sooner
- Communicate directly with clients and encourage trusting relationships
- Following up with prospective business, creating internal SOPs for converted clients, designing to-do lists for confirmed clients, ensure Banquet Event Orders are proofed and prepared for weekly meetings
- Work side-by-side with Event Ops Manager
- COI collection, organization, management for all SLO Brew Gatherings events
- Invoicing and accounting support for event clients
- Reporting Monthly forecast of event sales to GM/ownership, Prospects Tentative, Definite
- Hosting clients and providing property tours and menu tastings
- Design SOPs for sales department
- Create checklists for clients
- Compile collateral folders for interested clients
- Manage event page: content creation and postings
- Pinterest updates and maintenance
- Managing email lists via accounts on TripleSeat
- BEO proofing and distribution
- Send Thank You emails
- 3 - 5 years of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate a friendly knowledgeable and comforting demeanor and work effectively with all patrons and employees at all times
- Proficient in Microsoft office and Google Docs
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to relate to and work with emotionally upset, and at times, hostile or intoxicated people within the venue.
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and / or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel and reach repeatedly throughout the day.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
