Ice Cream Manufacturing Support

Sloan's Ice Cream is looking to add a production and warehouse support person to our team. Paid training is provided at our facility. Role is expected to progress into a full-time ice cream maker when appropriate. Working hours are 8-5, 3 days per week.

No previous experience is necessary. However, prior experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus.

Specific Responsibilities:
-Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
-Sanitize the equipment and utensils necessary for production.
-Monitor ingredient quality and expiration dates.
-Follow the direction of the Production Manager with respect to cleanliness and production standards.
-Maintain a standard of personal cleanliness.
-Conduct ingredient inventories on a weekly basis.
-Assist with receiving and unloading shipments, pulling ice cream orders to be shipped, and maintaining organization in the storage areas.

Qualifications:
-Openness to learn and maintain a consistent work ethic
-Ability to interact well with others including direct supervisors.
-Detail oriented for follow recipes and providing accurate inventory counts.
-Consistent availability (Typically the same days each week)

You must provide your own transportation and be able to work a 9 hour shift from 8AM to 5PM at least 3 days per week.

Starting pay: $15/hr.
